Do you need Wikipedia ALL THE TIME?
I like Wikipedia and I check it at least a few times a week – often more frequently. but I’m not sure I need access to the seemingly endless and always-changing resource that is Wikipedia. This morning, I read a review over at Android Guys about an app called WikiPock – as in, Wikipedia in your pocket. And that’s just what the app is – not just an interface for pulling data from the Wikipedia website, but and interface *and* all of the data – 4 GB worth. That means abandoning photos, but still, that’s a lot of information. The purchase is $14.99, and I’m not sure if the app updates each entry when changed at the source or not. Anyway, video from PocketNow after the break. And my viewers say I’m too hyper at times. This guy makes me want to take a nap…after a shot.

Tech Crunch’s Jason Kinkaid reminds us that it’s been a year since Apple responded to the FCC about Google Voice’s rejection (or perpetual non-acceptance) from the iPhone App Store.
Apple denying the app to those who want it, especially when it allows similar apps such as Line2 into the App Store, means it’s almost certainly what [...]

There are several options for streaming your desk/laptop music library over the Internet to your mobile Android. Gmote was one of my faves for a while there, not only because of its long list of features unrelated to music, but because it was friendly with Windows, Mac, and Linux, to varying degrees. However, as [...]

Clearcam for iPhone is an app that compliments the already existing camera app. Instead of tapping camera, you take your pictures through Clearcam. I found myself using this app when I wanted clearer pictures or when I was in an area that pictures came out either blurry or dark. The concept is [...]

Facebook’s iPhone app has been updated to version 3.2 and, among other things, brings support for the new Places service that lets you see where your friends are and what location-based social activities they’re up to.
