Best Buy to Offer Motorola Devour for $150

A leaked photo of one of Best Buys price sheets indicates the retail provider’s asking price for the Motorola Devour.  Thanks to a craft ninja armed with a blurrycam, we can see that Best Buy plans to charge $149.99 for the next Android handset for Verizon.  Of course, you have to sign a 2 year agreement to get it for that price.

Considering the specs, what do you guys think?  On the mark or should it be lower?

You won’t be able to get them from your local store until 5 a.m. on Friday, November 27 but you can shop online beginning tomorrow.

Doorbuster specials are always limited in quantity, so if you plan on trying to get in on some of these specials, prepare to get online or get in-line early. Some of the deals include a Palm Pre for $79.99 (with two-year contract) and a $200 HP laptop. You can see all of the deals available on Friday and Saturday here.

Here’s a tip for would-be doorbuster shoppers: do some price searching for the item that’s on sale before deciding if you want to try to brave the lines to get one of the limited number of discount items. Sometimes the deals are worth waking up early and trying to get — sometimes you can do almost as well buying online and not having to deal with the crowds.

Little Buddy Child Tracker Makes Spying on Your Kids Easy

littlebuddy-smWant to spy, er, keep track of your kids? Best Buy’s house brand, Insignia, recently released a new device that can help you do just that.

The device, known as the Little Buddy Child Tracker (available here) is a small portable GPS tracker that can be stored (or snuck) into a backpack, lunchbox, or pencil case. Parents can then log onto the web and see where their child is at all times, or receive SMS alerts if they leave a designated area.

Stick This Thing to Your Kid and You Won’t Lose Them [GPS]

The Insignia Little Buddy is a $100 child-tracking GPS system. You simply duct tape the Little Buddy to your kid, and you’ll never lose the little bugger again (involuntarily).

A web interface positions you various little ones on a map marked with your custom “safety zones.” But the most enticing feature, if we’re studying the GPS tracking page properly, is that you can assign your children with various barnyard animal iconography. That’ll teach little piggy the consequences of being late.
The Little Buddy will be on sale at Best Buy shortly, and we assume the service could come with some sort of monthly cost. [Best Buy via navigadget]
