Supersonic video shot by spy
Mar 10th
People have been clamoring for more information on HTC’s planned Androids for 2010 ever since the namedropping and roadmap leak of December. From countless mentions and burry shots to (likely phony) screengrabs, the dominant Android OEM is consistently the focus of some buzz or leak. Maybe a few folks have been repremanded or lost their jobs as of late, because this leaker goes the extra mile in protecting their identity…
Fuzzy gloves carefully handle the device, never revealing the area below the screen. The video stops before the phone has finished booting; probably because of a watermark on the home screen. It is what is it, but at least we get a glimpse of the device.

HTC Incredible poses for glamor shots
Mar 4th
Here we go again, another photoshoot of the upcoming HTC Incredible, aimed to release on Verizon Wireless later this year. We’ll keep this one brief, as we figure by now you’ve got the important stuff memorized, right? All right, all right, we’ll go over it one more time: 3.7-inch WVGA, AMOLED display; 512MB ROM/256MB RAM; 5MP camera with dual-LED flash; 2.1 with Sense UI atop; and finally that 1GHz Snapdragon processor under the hood. Basically, this is the Nexus One, but Sense UI-infused. So for all of you waiting for the N1 to make an appearance on the Big Red network, keep your eyes open for this as well. According to Mr. Devdroidian, who made an appearance at Ignite Dallas, the device is still rocking that red cover we spied a few weeks back, and may also be delayed until May. Word is though, that it’s still planned to be officially unveiled at CTIA this month. This wasn’t all that brief at all, was it? Well, at least you’re informed. That’s the important part. More images after the break.

New Verizon Wireless inventory screenshot shows HTC Incredible
Feb 24th
You remember what the HTC Incredible is, right? We know, we know, there’s been a few other phones announced between then and now, but hey, you can’t pass up another Sense UI device running Android 2.1. Right? Right. So, let’s get into the meat and bones of this, shall we? According to this recent screen grab of Verizon Wireless’ inventory system, you can clearly see the HTC INC as being listed there. We’re playing a bit of a guessing game here, but we’ll go ahead and agree with the consensus that this is going to be the Incredible. And right above that is the launch kit, so rumors are stating that this means the Incredible could be seeing store shelves pretty soon. Considering the Nexus One is still heading to Verizon, we’re actually not surprised that a device of the same quality, but with Sense UI will be making an appearance as well. Sound familiar, AT&T? No word on release date, of course, or pricing, but as soon as we hear something, we’ll pass on the information. Stay tuned.

Leak of Saygus VPhone’s new UI
Feb 13th
Until now, the images we’ve seen of Saygus’ EDGE video calling wonder indicated that the phone would run a stock Android UI. Turns out that the company, which seemingly came from out of the blue to tease the phone only to return to the shadowy forest from whence it came (I might be a bit fuzzy on recent Saygus history there), has not been sitting on its collective laurels.
What you’ll find after the break is a leaked photo depicting Saygus’ new custom UI for their EV-DO Rev. A, 800 x 480-packin’ champ, the V1. Thank you, anonymous. The device will ship with 1.6, but 2.x will follow:
Check out specs and more at the VPhone page over at Saygus.

Better video of homescreen pinch-and-zoom in Sense
Feb 13th
When I posted that long, sideways, blurry video of the pinch-and-zoom homescreen to be found in the forthcoming version of Sense, I did so because it was the only such video I was aware of. Thanks to @froncoissmexy for putting together a brief, high quality version that gets right to the point without fumble:

E100 or K1, another Acer Android sees the light
Feb 12th
The Bluetooth SIG leaked little more than an image of Acer’s Android, the E110, today but it was enough to get people talking. Android 2.0 is expected, 3G is a certainty, and pretty much everything else is up in the air (see above link for frequency support). People are speculating as to whether that big round thing at the bottom is a D-pad or optical trackpad. I happen to side with an Android Central commenter, who mused that the circle could be where the gumballs come out.
The image (after the break) is titled K1_front, but that could be meaningless. Right?

Sense 2.1 with homescreen pinch-and-zoom
Feb 11th
Remember that video that showed multi-touch everywhere on a hacked Droid? I want to say that it came from @barakinflorida, but I’m not sure. Anyway, that was for the hacker community. If the buzz is correct, what we’re seeing on the Hero below will be coming to all Android Sense devices with 2.1 and up. The cameraman with the crooked head pinches the screen and each homescreen is represented bu a card. The whole deck swirls into place through some slick animation.
Would you use this feature, or is it just eye candy? Jump to about 7:05 to see the action:
