Nexus One with Sense for Verizon || UPDATED
Mar 12th
UPDATE: Looks like the Sense reference was a typo, folks. Sense is, apparently, off the menu.
Android Central has leaked a snap of Verizon’s internal system that indicates the Nexus One for VZW will be sold exclusively through Google’s online store (google.com/phone). Not only that, but the device will clearly run HTC’s Sense UI. Will Verizon be the home for Android lovers in 2010?

More details on Motorola’s i1
Mar 11th

While we already know (or so we hope we know) quite a few specs on the i1, things keep coming out of the woodwork. Just a few days ago we found out that the name may be changing from the Opus One to the i1, and today we find out that it just may release with a 5MP camera, not 3MP, and ship with Opera Mini as the default browser. First off, who doesn’t want a better camera on their device. Second off, well… I don’t know what to say about Opera Mini being made the default browser. Confession alert, I have spent just about zero time using Opera Mini. I hear very good things, so this may be just the push I needed to give it a shot. There are plenty of handset manufacturers who choose not to use their own companies browser, and it hasn’t really steered them wrong yet. Android is starting to become a bridge for companies to exercise their freedom of choice within their OS. Just look at Swype. I guarantee this is only the beginning. Now that more info is floating to the surface, we expect to start seeing some solid specs anytime now. I bet you just can’t wait to hear “WHERE U AT?” ring out from an Android device in a grocery store near you, right?

Rentals.com App Arrives on Android
Mar 10th
Those of you looking to fly the coop this summer once school gets out might want to consider the new Rentals.com app for Android. Designed to help consumers find single-family houses, apartments and condos for rent, the free app uses GPS to search for nearby availabilities. Other features include searching by zip, state and city as well as filtering results by property type, price, amenities, and more. Where available, the application gives users full-color photos, maps, and other property information.
“We provide consumers with immediate access to relevant, localized information as they search for a place to live, and utilizing mobile technology makes the renting process that much easier. Our mobile apps not only give users another medium for gathering information on single-family houses, apartments and condos for rent, but also provide them with the ability to search for listings and contact property owners or managers while on-the-go.”- Jamie Clymer, president of Rentals.com
Download Rentals.com for Android
If you are interested in checking out Rentals.com for Android, you can grab it for free out of the Android Market. If you have Barcode Scanner on your handset, you can simply scan the code to the right!

Motorola i1
Mar 6th

You might recognize this Blur / Android 1.5 device as the Opus One, and you’d be right. There isn’t much to be told quite yet about this Motorola branded iDEN Android device, but with CTIA right around the corner, that will change. Normally I wouldn’t dedicate an entire article to something like this, I just think it’s exciting to see yet another Android phone make it to yet another US carrier (Nextel / Boost?). Be on the lookout for more info ASAP.
